If there are any available slots after the pre-registration deadline, crews can register at 10pm on the night of the event. Registration will remain open until all slots are filled. Attention all Bboy crews, preliminary battles will begin promptly at 10:30pm. Please arrive with enough time to warm-up and stretch before the battle. All friends and family coming to support are advised to arrive with the designated contact person.

I'm taking music submissions for all first rounds...that way, in your first round, you can decide what you get down to. Otherwise, I'm playing whatever it is that I want. Also, I'm going to work it out with Check-It, but I'm thinking that I'll do something like:
All Prelims/Quarter Finals are Submitted Music of the Contestants and Deep House
All Quarter Finals are Classic Chicago House
Both Semi Finals are Classic Deep Vocal House
Finals are Nu-Soul Remixed House
Again, I still got to hammer out the details of the music played with Check-It, but I'm leaning towards a format that showcases different kinds of House music. Also, a lot of the format depends on who and how many enter.

that's cool! there is so many forms of house!! So many people get caught up on a specific type!! I like it all but yeaa just saying cuz it is house! and freestyle so Idk but keep it posted just don't wanna dance to Break being called House lol!!! But you are pretty Ill So you haven't disappoint. I just say keep it hype!!

Roldare...you haven't heard the right deep house then...granted, a good amount of it is really chill, but there are tons of super great, deep, soulful tracks that light up the dance floor...and, most people who go upstairs to Zentra on a Friday night come for the deep house.
Maybe there'll be a latin house round...that would be cool.
Achilles...I got you man...definitely gonna keep it hype and uptempo...no breaks for the house battle.

Roldare - you gotta remember fam that people are trying to win a battle, so the music has got to be pretty current, in terms of matching the movement. Me playing Hip-House for a round in the House battle would be similar to me playing Rock Creek Park or Planet Rock in a Bboy Battle - its related, its fundamental, but it doesn't really fit the dance anymore in a competitive sense....
The house dance competition scene is heavy into Deep house, specifically that which has New York and San Francisco influences. Even old school Chicago house doesn't really fit modern house dance movement....
Sorry man, Hip-House is a no go...and while I'd love to see you come out, unless you enter the battle, I think Hip House is gonna have to wait for its own night.

If you need some tracks I will give you some but you need to play Ghetto House... To not is like disrespect to the chi! Reasons being it was made and is embraced in Chicago if you read up. Don't exclude what one of the Music and dance that put Chicago on the Map. Also Hip House is hype $h!t. Research tracks hit up other DJs if you need or let me know we can get you some Good Sounds!
